Nokia 8800 – Fashion Is Changed Now!
By Alice Erin

Fashion mobiles have come a long way. Where initially it was all about bright colours and different make (sans great features), its now a battle of how to marry looks with ergonomics. The Nokia 8800 is one such handset that is not only sensational in its design but also in its functionalities. The phone is a compact sleek handset, clad in stainless steel with measurements of 107 x 45 x 16.5 mm.

As found in most slider phones, the external fascia of the elegant Nokia 8800 is occupied with a high resolution screen. The particulars of the screen are 208 x 208 pixel resolution on a 1.65" display, and comes with a scratch resistant material. This is to ensure that the beauty of this handset is maintained for a long time.

On sliding the Nokia 8800 , a 0.5 MP camera is revealed at the back, while an impressive keypad pops up at the front. Yes, the camera is a little disappointment (specially
where the market is now gearing up for 10 MP camera), but nonetheless provides you with the advantage to capture those cherished moments.
The Menu is displayed in an easy way, and the 5-way navigation pad makes operation more pleasurable. More for entertainment, the users get a competent digital music player and FM. The player is compatible with all popular music formats and gives options to download and store more, in its 64 MB of memory.

For connectivity, the Nokia 8800 comes with Bluetooth and this also is the only way of connecting to the outside world, as Nokia 8800 is devoid of Wi-Fi. Besides this, the phone offers GPRS, EDGE and GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz for data and voice connectivity. Nokia claims a talk time of 3 hours and a standby time of 8 days.

And the best part about the Nokia 8800 is its pricing. The handset is competitively priced and affordable for mid-range consumers.
